By far this is one of the most beautiful places we have
visited in the Sea of Cortez. A small
bay on the second largest island in Mexico with mountains over 2000 feet! This bay has room enough for only one or possibly
two boats but we felt confident we would find it empty when we arrived since we
have seen no other cruisers around these waters. The bay was indeed unoccupied and we dropped
the hook right in the middle of this cozy anchorage. Most of the hiking was scrambling on soft
crumbly rock so other than a small beach walk and looking for shells there was
not too much to do here. So we just
stayed one day and decided to motor on to our next spot. Este Ton is a stunningly beautiful anchorage!
